Ack! Password Woes...

I used the PocketTop drivers to rotate my screen 90 degrees. I did not turn off my numeric password and now I am locked out of my PocketPC (As the buttom row of numbers is missing from the screen).

Is there some back door in through activesync? How about some way to delete the password and/or rotate the screen back from my PC.

Thanks,
Ryan

Look for a remote control application and install that... The remotely try and control the PPC and see if it works. There is a free one on Microsoft's site. Let me try and dig it up.

Actually this one is TCP based. So might not work unless you have wifi. Give it a shot though.

There are some other remote control apps around that you might have some luck with.

Actually this one requires the PPC based component to be activated. Won't work. Sorry. There are others though. Search for "remote control" and you might find something.

Got it!

The Remote Display wouldn't work because you need to be able to access the program to click 'connect' but what I did was download the password program from PocketPC.com. It's basically an older version of the password utility. I was hoping it would wipe out the password, which it didn't, but it replaced the phone style keypad with a normal text input. I simply entered my password and I was on my way!

Awesome. Would you mind posting a link to the password program if you can remember where you found it. Just for anyone who messes it up and does a search :)

It's on this page:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...powertoys.mspx

It says it's only for use with PocketPC 2000 blah blah blah...works anyway.
