Closing Programs Problem

I can't seem to close any programs. When I "X" out of a program it seems to be only minimizing the program, not actually closing it out. So, now I have to go to memory and running programs and stop all. Anybody have any suggestioons?

This is standard for PPC; to close programs using the "X", you'll need a 3rd party program. I use Battery Pack 2003, but there are others.

Switcher (included on your Axim) will do it but I like Icbar (freeware) and Wisbar (also freeware) has gotten 'good press,' too.

To use the Switcher Bar: Tap Start > Settings > Switcher Bar. This will show an icon on the top of your screen. When you wish to close an application, tap on this icon to close selected programs

actually what you have been saying isn't true. I don't know what I did and I am not using any third party software but it is now closing the program when I "X" out. Also I now have again a menu that pops down after holding on the "X" as well. Some how after screwing around with the program I must have hit the right thing and fixed. Unfortunately I don't have a clue what I did. It started acting up after I installed JOurnal Bar and I finally got it fully uninstalled, maybe that has something to do with it????????

When you installed Journal Bar, did you also elect to install Battery Pack 2003? In the trial version of Battery Pack, there's an option to also try Journal Bar, but I'm not sure if Journal Bar has the option to install the Battery Pack trial.
What you're describing is a function of Battery Pack.
