hard reset?

I was changing batteries (with a full charged backup) and got message "to clear all data in the memory press (icon) To cancel this operation press (icon)" However neither works, basically no response. I have data all backed up but if I can't get Axim to respond, what do I do? I tried a hard reset (battery out, reset) but still no response. What do I do next? Thx in advance...phillip

Did you try a hard reset with the battery in (press the soft reset and power buttons simultaneously)? I'd also have it on the charger while doing this. Alternatively, maybe there is something wrong with the battery you were installing. Did you try putting the original one back in?

This happened tom me once. If nothing ikehiker told you works, Just take the backup battery out so that there will be no power and the ax will shut off, and put it back in after 10 seconds or so.
