Backup battery not charging????

When I turn my Dell on it says that the back up battery charge is low. However, main battery is almost at full capacity. When I put it on charge my main battery charges to full no problem, but my back up battery is not charging at all? Why is that?
Should I change the back up battery?

Thanks!

The backup battery is not rechargeable, and need to be changed when discharged.

Should I take any caution mesures when replacing it? Can I take battery out of the Dell and go to store to get the same one? Would that not be too long without backup battery?

You could actually just take the axim to the store with you.

But as long as main battery is charged, you don't need the backup battery at all as far as I know.

And this thread does seem to be in the wrong area.

Your backup battery is not a rechargable battery. It's located under the circular cover on the back of your Ax. It's a CR2032 battery. Very popular - many motherboard manufacturer's use the same battery on their motherboards. You can get it at any electronics store like radio shack, etc for around 1.50 to 2.00 a battery. I keep some spares just in case.
