I think that it is a good practice to always close all programs that you are not currently using. That should eliminate most of these problems.

OK here’s my scenario, and what I did to apparently resolve the dead axim issue. I bought an X5 300 Mhz off of ebay used, with True Mobile CF card. Really sweet deal, worked outta the packaging. I setup the Pocket PC, ActiveSync, and the Dell True mobile wireless CF card. I played with with for about 4 Hours. I turned it off, put it my pouch, and was about to leave my house until I was about to show my roomette’s girlfriend. Pulled it out the pouch, wouldn’t turn on. I was beside myself. I reseated the battery, nothing, cleaned the CR2032 backup battery nothing, hit the reset button for soft reset, it would come on, then if I turn it off, it won’t come back on until I do soft reset again. As a Desktop Support Analyst, I used my intuition and performed troubleshooting. The last thing I had added was the X5 Jog Dial patch. I uninstalled it, shut off the Pocket PC. And what do you know; it turns on and off normally again, no need for reset, and running 8 hours strong with no power issues.

I do not know if this will help any of you fellow Axim owners, but I hope it will. I’m new to the community, been wanting an Axim for a while, and now I got one. I’m happy. I wish you all the best of luck in eradicating this power issue.
