Mad Wrong language

I am at the end of my tether. Ordered an X5 from Dell UK. When it arrived turned it on, it's in Spanish!!!!!!!!

This was weeks ago and Dell only see fit to send me sync disc in English and an upgrade disc to PPC2003, even tho its 2003 anyway. So I try and install all this stuff (I had no patience to install the Spanish stuff originally sent) and of course its saying my PDA is a different language and not supported by the upgrade.

Where Dell were saying the disc would work they are now saying 'Maybe call customer care back in 2-3 weeks, we may have an update'

So, how do I change the language?

Demand a refund and a brand new replacement.

In the UK you're pretty well covered legally.

They never charged us but left a message for my voicemail saying a new one will be sent in a few weeks, maybe months. All a little strange.

Just had the same, they sent a spanish and and told me they were going to issue a new one, one didn't arrive so I contacted them. They have now given me a full refund and told me to keep the spanish version, think I'm going to look for something a little different now, this was my first and a very bad experience of dell....

Yea, I can't really play the waiting game I'd rather get something sooner. Shame really as it seems like a very nice unit.

Hope you get your x5, notice how they don't offer a x3 or anything, I think they just want everyone to get a refund saving them the headache.

Let me know how you get on :-)

well, they offered me a refund and to keep it. All well and good but I dont speak Spanish and I have shelled out a lot of money on accessories. However I did also pick up a HP 1940 for 99.99 so I can wait for Dell to sort themselves out. They are bound by their own contract but say they wont sell any Axims in the UK for months. Funny that, because they were very willing to send me a X3i this afternoon by next week if I bought thru their sales line. Letter has been sent out threateneing to fry their balls.
