locked out of my axim5

My Axim5 asks for a password everytime I turn it ON. Now it freezes every time I enter the last digit for the password. It does not matter if I use the correct password or ANYTHING it freezes when I enter the 4th number.

Anyone knows whats going on? any advice?

(except a hard reset)

Looks like a hard reset is in your future.

If you cann still connest active sync to your PDA you have still a chance.

1. Download Microsoft Pocket PC SDK (2002 or 2003) and install it.
2. Then connect your Axim to your Desktop PC.
3. Run ".\Common\Platman\bin\cepview.exe" from the directory you have installed PPC SDK.
4. Select your Device and press the "OK" button to connect.
4.1. after a few secounds you should see the process list of your PPC.
5. Kill the "gwes.exe" process.
5.1 The logon screen of your axim should imidetly dissapired.

Thats all.

I have tested this trick only on PPC 2002 but is should alsow work on ppc 2003.

You can always pull the batteries and start fresh. Ahhh, the benefits of a good recent backup.
