Get these from the manufacturer, much better range http://www.agere.com/support/drivers...r_sr02-2.3.zip

I agree with willo - the agere drivers seems to perform much better than the original dell

Hi.
I'm new here. I had a Palm V and now have switched to X5.
I just purchased a Dell Truemobile 1180 and cannot get the drivers to load on the X5 at all. I have used Dell drivers and the Agere drivers and everytime I put in or pull the card an put back in, it says "Unrecognized card: network card in socket 1". I reconfigure the wireless settings and still nothing. I soft reset and still the same. I have done both drivers, both with the CF card in and out and also soft reset and still the X5 refuses to see/load the driver. I just want to make sure the card is dead before I get it replaced. Any other suggestions on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, somehow I screwed around with it long enough to make it work. After reinstalling the Dell software twice, and the Agere once, I reinstalled the Dell driver software, pulled it out of the cradle, stuck in the CF card and it started flashing. Then lo and behold, the screen comes up and shows me that its looking for a wireless network. So I'm up and running now. I guess I should have worked on it another 1 and 15 minutes before posting the first time. lol
Later,
Robert

Ok I've downloaded these, and inside are a dozen or more drivers for different products.
Whats the easiest way to install them for my Dell 1180 TrueMobile CF Card?

Do I need to remove the Dell drivers first? How do I get the new drivers installed? Step by step instructions anyone?
