This has to do with the cradle for the Axim. When I put my Axim into the cradle usually the Dell logo lights up for a split second and goes out. Sometimes id doesn't come on at all. However, the Axim is firmly in place and the sync takes place correctly. If I wiggle the Axim in the cradle enough, the logo may light up, but sometimes it doesn't.

Also, the Axim doesn't slip directly onto the connector in the cradle, I have to fiddle with the Axim to get it to connect to the cradle connector.

Is anyone else seeing either of these issues with their Axim?

Nope. Mine is always lit when the Axim is seated correctly. You probably ought to contact Dell about getting a replacement. Email support is pretty quick and easy to track progress. It may just be a lose wire, but who knows what else is lose in there. Dell will likely just ship you another and not require to return the 'bad' one. I wanted to return the leather case I bought from them (kind of a sloppy fit), and they simply gave me a credit - return needed.

The issue with the intermittent light sounds like a bad connection -- check your USB and power cables. If this continues after re-connection, I'd ask for a replacement.

As for the Axim not "slipping" into the cradle, you're right - it doesn't. It's like you have to hold it at an ~80 degree angle or something...
