D-Pad Replacement

Is there any way that I can get my D-Pad replaced?

Are you having problems?
Is it still under watantee?
Some people have gotten replacements from Dell because of problems with it.

No, unfortunately it is out of warranty. I am having no problems (x5 400MHz), but alot of the paint on the d-pad has worn away.

I'm sure you can order one from Dell directly. Be prepared to pay a bunch of $$$. I lost the rubber foot on the back of my x5 and it cost $12 + shipping to replace. Unbelievable.

I take that back. Now that I remember, the D-button is actually attached to the front case. You'd probably have to buy the whole front of the case. Probably not worth it. However, I may have an extra one if I look around here. Let me know if you're interested.

What do you mean by an "extra one"? Do you mean an extra D-pad, an extra front of the case, or an extra x5?
