I received my Axim yesterday (on 2/18, ordered on 2/12, order processed on 2/14 -- not bad!).

With everything set up, and with Active Sync set to synchronize either manually or on connection, Active Sync still opens every 2-3 minutes when the Axim is in the cradle, turned off (charging).

This is extremely annoying as I constantly have to turn it off and disconnect so that I can charge it properly (and there's nothing new to synchronize).

I never had anything like this with my Jornada 565. Is it possible that my device or cradle is defective, or could something be set up incorrectly?

Open ActiveSync and go to options.

Click on the "Rules" tab and uncheck the "Open ActiveSync when my mobile device connects" at the bottom.

  

Thanks, I missed that setting. I just unchecked it, hopefully that will do the trick.
