Problems writing to Lexar SD Card

I have been having a lot of trouble writing to my 256MB Lexar SD card.
Im getting the following error when i try to write and or delete files or folders from it, also when i try to create folders on it.

"Cannot delete or create file or folder: access denied"
"Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read-only, and that you have permission to copy this file type."

I'll get this error at certain times and then i try again and im able to copy the files i want. Some times it appears that its transferring the files and that it seems to complete the transfer, but nothing is showing on the SD card.
This is on an X5 with WM2003, and i have had this in use for about 9 months. Storing mainly maps for my GPS on the SD card.
But now using it for storage of MP3 internet radio broadcasts as well. Plenty of space left on the card so that is not the issue.
ActiveSync version 3.71 build 3244

Thanks

Are you trying to put all of this in the root directory? There is a limit on the number of files you can keep in the root of the card. You might try some subdirectories to consolidate.

You have a problem with your flash card. Take a look here

happycheesecake's site

or do Resources | Links | SD Trouble Guide

Thanks for all the replies folks. Well guess what i went to start my pocketmusic player this morning, and my Axim locked up. Had to do a soft reset. When it came back up, i got the infamous SD card warning: "Would you like the system to format the SD card folder so the system can use it?" Great so from the info i have gathered from the links provided, the card is basically junk or will continue to be troublesome.
It has the numbers AR0304LR China on the back of it, which looks similar to the Sandisk number shown on that happycheesecakes site.
I had multiple folders on the card with map files for mapopolis and then another folder for my radio shows with subfolders in it.
Is there a way to salvage the data thats on the card? And is there a possibility that this is a sandisk card and therefor make it eligible for the replacement deal?
Ok so i read through some more of cheesecakes site, and there was mention of a patch Dell was comin gout with, but no link or other info. Is there some sort of patch fo this? Has anyone succesfully reformatted and continued to use their Lexar card after getting these errors, and will Lexar make good on this and send me one of the Japanese cards for free?

According to the happycheesecake page, if your Lexar AR0304LR is made in China, you and the 8 others who emailed Jon feedback most definitely have a problem. Lexar has a 5 year warranty. You may want to get in touch with them. Lexar Media Support | Contact information. Good luck.

Just reread post that you have a Lexar Chinese made SD card.

I went to the Lexar website and clicked on the link for live support: Lexae Support
And after a few minuets i got a support agent named Nagababu, surprisingly he typed very good english.
He wanted me to try reformatting the card, and i replied i already had and was still having problems with it. I mentioned the information i read here, and that i would prefer they send me a japanese replacement. He wasn't able to guarantee me anything except that i should receive a new card. We will see how this goes.
Thanks for all the help.
