X5 Automatically Powers up in cradle

Hello all,

I'm having a bit of a problem with my X5. It seems to automatically power itself up while its in the cradle, and even after I manually turn it off it turns itself on again. It's beginning to become a real nuissance, and I don't know what to do about it. Is this just normal for an Axim, or is mine really, really special ;) ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :D

Scott

Scott, is it just powering up? or is it also synching each time? If it is trying to sync.....let it go ahead and sync, then click on options (in the active sync popup), and then schedule. You should see the server schedule at the bottom...just unclick the box that says sync every 5 mins...hopefully this should stop it from trying to 'powerup' or sync every few minutes!!

Do you also have any appointments with Alarms. If so then it will power on to alert you. But most often I see it with ActiveSync. So my options - Schedule -desktop - is to sync on connection.

There's also some external power options under setting that might need to be tweeked a little also.

I had the same problem and I had to change the activesync settings on the Ax itself. Haven't had a problem since.

Aha,

Thanks all. It looks like it was the server schedule. I had changed the desktop settings to manual, but completely overlooked the server option. Thanks again! :D
