Hey folks, new to this site
On my Axim, I use the 'switcherbar' app, and after synching with my desktops, and I go to close the open apps, the activesync (among others, but activesync does it all the time) seems to hang or get locked up.

I know its ok to let it run, but I'm obsessive/compulsive and need to close all my app's when I'm done with them.

is this common on all of the Axim's out there? I know it happens on 2 different units...

Another note, anyone else have problems when synching using a USB hub on their desktop?

Thanks,
John

Switcher Bar has problems closing Activesync. It closes, but apparently gives a message about it. I just leave Activesync running. I use Icbar as my switcher, and it has a feature to hide certain apps from the list of running apps. I have it set to ignore Activesync, so I don't even see it anymore! I would recommend you view Activesync as a part of the operating system and just live with it. I equate it to Explorer on the pc. It's an app, but the system needs it to work at all so it has to run all the time.

There are multiple reports of USB being flaky running through Hubs. Some work, some don't. Mine didn't so I moved to a front USB port on my pc and it worked fine. I've discovered other things that don't like the hub, so I don't think it us unique to Axim.

You will get the error message about active sync not responding when you close the program when it is outside the cradle. If you shutdown Activesync on the Axim while in the cradle, it is able to break the connection, and thats why you don't get the error. Give it a try, you'll see what I mean..
