Worried Can I disable the screen KB

I have a dell folding KB. I want to disable or deactivate the Screen input method so that it stops poping-up every time a text field is activated. I know I can switch to a method that is less intrusive but would perfer to shut it down when connected to my KB. Any suggestions?

I don't think you can stop it popping up, but if you tap on the keyboard icon in the lower right corner, it minimizes and stays there.

FYI: It will minimize only until another text field is activated. It's a pain in the butt when working in callendar and task.

Try switching the input method to Transcriber and turning off the Transcriber bar.

Man....You guys are fast.
That did it. Plus I can still switch back to the screen KB if I need it.
Thanks for the help.

This is related to another post in this forum, but I figured I would ask here too. Does anyone with the Dell Keyboard get stuck in loops sometimes when they are using the keyboard? Happens to me more often than I like. It acts as though i am pressing enter over and over again............
