I have one word for this: "activesync"

If you use it, it disconnects. Good luck on tracking down a solution, but I fear it is not possible.

Well, I deleted both partnerships and uninstalled and then reinstalled Activesync on BOTH PCs. After setting up new partnerships all has been well - it never disconnects any more.

It appears it IS possible.

I had this problem after upgrading to PPC2003, I could never fix it. I went back to PPC2002, problem solved.

Obviously Dell screwed something up in the PPC2003 ROM. And they will never fix it. So this is something we must live with. :(

I have to agree with as77. I had to go back to PPC2002 for this and for the alarms.
Never been a problem since.

Great! I hope it continues to work for you. If it does, you're in the very, very small minority! LOL...
