X5 Screen less bright than X3

When I compared the bightness on my X5 screen to the screen on a friend X3 there was no doubt that the X3 was brighter and the whites were "whiter".

Could my X5 screen be slowly failing or is there a differant screen on the two units?

I must say that unless you compare them side by side you would not know there was a differance

Yeah, man, its totally normal. My wife's X3i's screen blows my X5 away. It's much nicer. Anyone out there know if there's a similar difference between the X3's and the X30's? I don't expect there to be, but one can hope...

Regardless of size, they have far different connections to begin with. After that there's probably different Video Chips and/or drivers and/or whatever-the-heck makes the screen display the GUI so you can use the danged thing.

Brighter, better screens go right along with new & improved models. Compare my HP548 against my X5 and the HP looks like colored chalk on a blackboard!.........and don't even try taking it outside to see it better, 'cause the chalk just disappears........the nice, shiny blackboard's still there, though!

We won't even go back to the stoneage and my Mars/bCOM/Uniden UniPro 100A.......or my (god-forbid) DaVinci!!!!!
