I am new to the world of PDAs and was wondering if sometimes the CF cards were a bit difficult to use. I have a brand new ScanDisk 256 meg card and when I put it in the Axim tells me that it cannot read it. After several tries I can usually get it to work by reinserting a few times. I was wondering if this is common and if not is it most likely a problem with the card or the Axim. Thanks for your help.

Same thing happened to me. I was using a CF wireless card in my Axim when I realized that if it slightly tapped the card it would stop working. In other words, I had to have the card a just the right angle to make it work. I tried another brand of wireless card and the same problem ocurred. So I called Dell today and they are sending a new unit out.

I have a 128 MB Sandisk CF Card. It works fine for me and I didn't have any problem. I also have a DLink CF Wireless card. It also works without any problem.

You shouldn't have any problems in theory, but we all know about theory don't we?? It's all relative. If you have another card try it in the CF slot. If it acts the same way then it is a problem with the slot. Call Dell and repot it. If it doesn't act like the previous card then it is the card itself that is causing problems. If you have access to a reader or another device that uses the card, test it.
