This is maby both a hardware- and a softwareproblem.
I´m connecting my X5 with the cradle and ActiveSync at home and with a original sync-Cable at work. At home i´m running win XP home and at work i´m running win 2000 pro. Sometimes when i connect the X5 i get connected as guest, and nothing works. The only way to solve the problem is to do a soft-reset. What is wrong?

I occassionally have this problem.
The way I minimaze this issue is to: 1) have my desktop computer fully booted before placing my X5 in the cradle. If my Axim is in the cradle while my desktop is booting I almost never get a proper connection. 2) I have my X5 fully booted up before placing in the cradle. Again, if the Axim has to turn on while Activesync is booting I almost never get a good connection. 3) After removing the Axim from the cradle I leave Activesync running in the background of the X5. I get solid, reliable connections doing it this way. Frequently, if I need to do a reset during the day (which kills AS in the background of the X5) I will get connected as 'Guest' when I next connect to AS. The only solid cure for this (for me) is to soft-reset while in the cradle. Chris...
