Worried Axim 5 Help with Start Menu

Can anyone give me some advice. I have had nothing but problems with my PDA. First of all it kept freezing up, then I couldn't get it to even work at all. I talked to Dell, and they just replaced the complete inside of my PDA. All new * All should work, right?? NO, it still doesn't................

Well, now when I touch the start buttom all is get is the settings screen where you set the clock. If I continuely tap the top left corner after a while I actually get the start menu.

What do you think is wrong? You would think after starting all over again it would work, but even with the new hardware I am still having problems. Different problems, but problems.

One other problem is when I tap on one line I don't always get that but usually the line under it. Why am I having so many problem???????

Can you give me some advice. DTM2D

Sounds like a digitalizer problem, I think. But have you tried to soft-reset?

Yes I have tried many soft resets. I have not done the hard reset since I have received this new unit though. Maybe I need to back up again and try a hard reset again. Just a big problem.

Try going to Start>Settings>System>Screen>Align Screen and carrying out the Align Screen procedure.

Alignment doesn't work either....

I did try the screen alignment, after reading alot of posts through this area.

It just gets stuck there and I can't even get it to quit aligning. I finally have to restart to get out of that mode.

Hard reset

Well I did the hard reset. It turns back on, then the align screen comes on. I keep doing it, but it never goes past that screen. Now do you have any more ideas.....

Have dell replace it, they usually will if it is under warranty, they will say it is a refurb unit, but for the life of me i cannot tell the difference between a refurb unit and a new one (it will be "used" after a day of use anyway...)

Thank you

Thanks for all the advice.

I have sent an email to Dell using my past reference number, so they can see I am having more of the same problems. Now I am just waiting to hear back from them.

Thanks again.....
