Question Spontaneous power on

I purchased the zipper case from Dell for the X5 and have found that when the Axim is in the case the power will turn on spontaneously. I have even placed a piece of thin cardboard in front of it to prevent an accidental pressing of the power button. I have experimented with various situations--zipper opened, zipper closed, but the only configuration that prevents the Axim from turning on is to leave the case completely open or take the Axim out of it all together. Anyone else had this problem or can explain it?

do u have your settings for the 4 buttons set to turn on the ax if 1 is pushed? go to settings..power..control..make sure the box is not checked to turn on if a button is pushed.
thats the only thing i can think of.
maybe one of the buttons is being pushed down

Yes, I had already done that. I emailed the problem to Dell and they said they would look into it. That was some time ago.

Is this happening at many times during the day, or at specific times?

The X5 will regularly turn on at midnight for calendar/alarm maintenance. Other times might be related to 'reminders' set within Calendar or Tasks.

I have noticed this with my case as well. Its kinda odd, but its gone down since i turned off buttons turning it on. I personally think its my network card bulging out from one of the pockets and pushing the button. BTW- the cardboard would do nothing, the button is raised and the cardboard would probably have just helped it get pressed
