Power button wont stop flashing

It came on when it reminded me of an appt but I cancelled it and have no other appts due. What's going on?

Check to see if there are any previous appointments or tasks that had notification...if so, delete them.

After doing the above if it is still flashing do a soft reset.

I believe the minimum Flash light setting is 5 minutes. Therefore, even after you dismiss the notification, it will continue to flash for 5 minutes. Of course as the previous post suggested, performing a soft reset should stop the flashing immediately.

BTW you can check/change how events notify you by:

Go to Start-Settings-Sounds & Notifictions tap on the Notifications tab at the bottom.

The top of the Notifications screen has a drop down list with the various types of events.

The bottom of the screen has various check boxes allowing you to select how you want to be notified for the selected event.

You can check/change the current settings (i.e. sound, message, flash) for each type of event to have it notify in a particular way.

My experience also. For whatever reason, occasionally it does not stop flashing after a reminder is dismissed.

I found that if I have a problem with syncing then the light keeps flashing until I reset. This will kill the battery overnight too. Haven't figured out what is running to make this happen but one of the symptoms is that nothing happens when I try to hit the active sync icon on the ax

Just wanted to ask how bright is your flashing power button? I can't see mine unless it's a dark room

As I mentioned in a previous post, if you check your event notification settings you can determine which types of events are currently configured to notify by flashing the power button.

This can help narrow down what is causing the button to flash. Of course the easiest solution is to turn off flashing notification for ALL events.

I think there are 6-7 different event types that can notify by flashing. In my case, I found that Reminders were set to flash for 15 minutes. After turning it off for these events I have not had any problems with the flashing button.

That sounds about normal. It is very dim and you can barely see it in normal room light.

The dim light of the button was one of the drawbacks in the early reviews, along with the slim stylus.

Besides clearing the notifications, try syncing. Make sure it's a clean sync with no errors. Exit Active Sync on the PC before removing the Axim from the cradle. After doing the above, making that sacrifice to the Digital Gods may have been what finally cleared my flashing power light.

Same here. I have to soft reset to get it to stop flashing. This was on an x50, though.
