Help! LCD Troubles!!

I droped my X5 and now the screen isn't diplaying properly at all. It is just showing a bunch of vertical colored lines. Other then that it seems to be fine. The touch screen works I can still open programs but I just can't see them (I can kind of make out the shape of some behind the lines but not well.)

I tried a soft and hard reset but to no avail. I took it apart and I noticed that one of the ribbons has a spot were it looks like the etching is worn. I circled the area here.

I think that that ribbon is for the digitizer so I don't know if that could be the problem or not since it seems that it is the display that is malfunctioning.

Any help would be much appreciated!
