As for me, I will take all the internal RAM that can be squeezed in! (128, 256, 512,... even 1 gig!!!)

On the serious side, I would be very interested in internal memory expansion of te Axim. I will be watching this thread anxiously.

After months of waiting, and lying through my teeth to get the samples, I finally got the Infineon SDRAMs to upgrade my 32/32 axim to a 64/32. I will do the mod next week, and post the results. If anyone finds another manufacturer that is really shipping the 512 megabit parts, in the TSOP package, please let me know; but is seems like that is where the parts transition to BGA.

FYI: my next project is INTERNAL 801.11B! If you remove the CF socket on the AX, then hard-wire the wireless card in, you can use part of the dummy-card (that came with the AX) to seal up the opening. The only problem I see is signal reduction caused by my all-aluminum custom (modified to include super-clip belt clip)Rhino-skin case. With luck, I'll be able to add an SMA connector for war-driving (my company builds 802.11 products, so I have the lab equipt).

I have been looking at my Socket WiFi card wondering if there was a way to remount the antenna flat over the front of the Axim where the CF card it. The antenna would still be external, but flat.
