weird freeze

Hi, I'm having a problem which I cannot find a solution for anywhere. The problem I'm having is primarily when using internet explorer, though i think it's happened at other times. While browsing, after going about five or so links deep, sometimes the system "freezes", and not in the traditional sense. When trying to scroll with the scrollbar, or when clicking on the "x" to close the program, the "keyboard, transcriber" menu pops up. I've posted this problem before and no one had any real solutions. Some thought it was a memory problem, but i've closed all programs and cleared all history and internet files. There should be plenty of memory.

Now, if no one has a simple solution to this, can someone offer a means of re-installing internet explorer or starting completely from scratch and just saving one or two programs that i purchased and no longer have the registration codes for?

If you want to start over, you can do a hard reset. (There is no way to reinstall PIE per se.) However, that will get rid of the software that you have no registration codes for too.

Have you installed any new software recently? It may be a software conflict. One thing you could try is doing a backup, and then a hard reset. Then each time you reinstall a program, check to see if you have that problem. If you find out which application is problematic, do a restore of your original configuration (i.e., before your hard reset) and then uninstall that one.

BTW, if you've lost the registration codes, could you try emailing the vendor?
