Does anyone have any experience with the Linksys WCF12 Wireless card? It installed fine, and connects to my D-Link access point fine, but I cannot establish a connection to the internet. I know the card is functioning, because I can connect to my terminal server on the network, but when trying to make a connection with Internet Explorer, or in the Connections utility, I get the error "Unable to connect with current settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings." I get this when trying to connect with Internet Settings or Work Settings. I also can't connect to my laptop with it. Any suggestions?

Bill

Hi,

I got exactly the same problem with my Axim and Linksys WCF12 a days ago. Heres some tip on what I did to make it work.

1. Back up your data.
2. Uninstall the WCF12 driver in your laptop/desktop pc.
3. Uninstall Microsoft ActiveSync in your laptop/desktop pc.
4. Then do a hard reset on your Axim.
5. Install Microsoft ActiveSync.
6. Install WCF12 driver.
7. Then plug your WCF12 card in your Axim.
Just follow the steps and your wifi card would work flawless and you can also access your shared folder in your laptop/desktop pc through file explorer. But before you do all this thing you make sure you BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP...

Thanks.

After playing with it today and loading Kelbran Software's IP Manager, I was able to get it working with a static IP address. It still works with a DHCP assigned address, but there is a problem with DNS. Staticly giving it the same DNS server as is assigned with DHCP, I can get to web sites, but when I change back to dynamic address, It can't get there. Strange....

Download the trial of WinC and use it to enter your 128 Bit WEP Hexidecimal Key. It appears the WM03 Can not correctly configfure 128 bit WEP. It worked for me wit WCF12 and The Linksys Beta Drivers....Spent all day on it!
