Wintersoft.com???

I went looking for www.wintersoft.com as recommended by one of the guys in this thread and couldn't find it anywhere. I did a Google search and the url is www.softwinter.com.

Hmm Sandisk SD Card Problems

I have a 128MB SD and a 256MB SD, both Sandisk.

The 128 doesnt give me any problems but the 256 does if I try to load data to it through the pocketPC sync interface. I bought a SD reader/writer to put data to it so I can read it from the Axim.

Anybody know of a fix for this or will Sandisk replace the card with one that works? (Ha yeah right)

I remember when Sandisk made good products, but then again I remember when Linksys made good products to.

Sad what is happening to the computer/eletronics industry.

They should make a more believable Star Trek series in which nothing work all the time. (Where the hell did that come from)

OK, my Sandisk 256Mb card just died after less than a month of use. It's the same batch (AR0304LR) that other users have complained about. A call to Sandisk two days ago promised an email with instructions....still waiting.

I Retract my bashing of Sandisk

I Retract my bashing of Sandisk.

Shortly after my post I contacted Sandisk with the problem, after listening to the tech I aggreed that the problem is most likely with Dell and not Sandisk.

They were even kind enough to replace the card at no cost.

They gave me a choice of another SD Card or a CF card.

I chose the CF card as I knew it would work and I can use it in my camera.

Yay Sandisk!

Dell fix the damn thing!

I'm tending to agree with Sandisk - there is something wrong with (you're going to like this) CERTAIN Axims.

I have had 5 Axims to use over the last two weeks. Most cards worked in two Axims, and the other three Ax's the SD cards didn't want to know.

And Sandisk's techincal support is a flippin' sight more helpful than Dells!

[HIJACK MODE] Star Trek DS9 was full of things that didn't work. Also most episodes have a least one hardware failure or computer failure. Unfortunately, every time Scotty/Geordie/Miles was able to repair the problem before the end of the show--that's not real. And now, back to your regular thread...[/HIJACK MODE]

pleased with SD card

I've been very happy with my SD card (512MB). It's increased the efficiency and speed of all of my frequently used electronics - digital camera, MP3 player, camcorder and PDA. I think it's the new storage media and it creates a road map for the digital networking world. I highly recommend it.
