Mad Screen Problems...

Okay... I'm sitting at work playing a game on my week old AX, and I remembered I had an email to write. SO, I shut down my Ax, and in the process it freezes up... I did a soft reset, and all started up as normal. HOWEVER, after the reset (mind you, it could have happened before the reset, I just didn't do anything that would have made me notice), I cannot draw a straight line on the screen.

I tried using the transcriber... and everytime the stylus touched the screen, it would go all over the place within a half a centimeter of where the stylus actually was in contact with the screen... This only happened in certain areas of the screen.

So, I opened up a new note, and tried drawing straight lines all over the screen... to no avail ...

I guess I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows of an easy fix? I'm going to call Dell when I get up tomorrow... I just figured since it's 2am, this might be the best place to ask :)

Thanks in advance...

did you lift up your screen protector

your screen protector or something is pressing down on the screen somewhere. I had simular problems . till on the forums here or on the dell community forum. someone mentioned this. so now I use a bussiness card to lift up on the screen protector when it screen gets a little flaky. Now its as sensitive as ever.

Reminds me of when I sent my mouse back, before I learned how to remove the ball and clean the rollers. back in 1989 :crooked:

Yup, tried recalibrating several times... No screen protectors on it yet... I also tried checking between the frame of the screen and the screen... no visible obstructions...

I donno... I've tried everything I can think of...

Nevermind, I guess I'm a bonehead :) I cleaned out from under the frame around the screen with a folded over piece of paper... got a lot of dust out, and the screen now seems to be working fine :)

Okay... I'm gonna go ack to playing with my Ax now :) Thanks y'all
