Problems playing music files on my compact flash card.

undefinedI was just wondering if anyone can tell me if they've had problems playing music files from their compact flash card. Every so often while playing music files (mp3 and wma) the sound will cut out or it will skip to the next song. I was wondering if maybe sd cards are better for playing these files since most mp3 players use them instead.

welcome to aximsite, what is the bit rate of the music, if it is real high i might try making sure that your cpu speed is set to auto instead of power save

Question Re: Problems playing music files on my compact flash card.

Yeah my processor is set to automatically adjust. Some of the files on my compact flash card are 128kbs and others are 96kbs. I often have problems playing both types. I've read that many users have experienced problem using Sandisk cards. Could this possibly be the problem? If so can anyone recommend a better brand. Also is there any difference between SD cards and compact flash cards as far as performance is concerned?

I have used both cf & sd by sandisk of various sizes. I have had NO problems with any of them (using mp3, wma, pics, you-name-it files). The one and only Simpletech cf card I had went bad after a few months, however.
