Why Does 256 = 241? Fuzzy Math???
Question (which has probably been answered before)... Why does a 256meg SD card show up as 241megs when installed? Isn't that what they call false advertising?
Seems to me that full 256meg should be available. When Dell advertises that 64megs of RAM is available on their unit... at least it shows up as 63.54megs (which is technically 64 megs if we round it). But 256 - 241 = (uh... hang on a sec... let me call up the calculator function).... 15 megs sucked down somewhere. That's quite a difference. Why, that's almost 300 mp3s!!!!! :p
(Just kidding... but it's really not all that funny)
So where did those 15 megs go? And why isn't some agency jumping on this?
