Sandisk again, and hello!

Well, I have to say the axim seems to be a great piece of equipment. And I have noticed how nicely it connects to my XP system. Overall, my only problem is that dell does not sell any kind of case for it that actually protects the screen and leaved the buttons free, go fig...

Oh yes... Sandisk cards also suck. There, I said it...

The first card began failing with 48 hours, and by the 5th day needed to be formatted about once per 12 hours.
The second (I got it literally the day after ordering it) died within about 4 hours of receiving it.

Now I'm ordering a lexar 256 sd and the others are on the way back.

By the way, anyone know if SD or CF is faster, or are they both at the mercy of the usb speed?

They sell a Belkin case now in accessories that has a flip top that protects the screen.... but I think the EB case looks better.

Well, I had mine go out on me last night. I was coping some .mp3s from my desktop to the 256MB SD card wirelessly and got an error. Looked in explorer and I had no SD card. I did a soft reset and it prompted me to format. I had it up to only 70MB free. So these scan disks are all they are reported to be. That and I can't trust it anymore.

Try formatting your SD card. I was having the same problems with my 256Mb card, did a format and it has been working great ever since. I used Flash Format, HERE Is their site.

How about formatted with three differant programs, on 7 occassions, over 5 days?

Case closed, Lexar shipped and will arrive in about 1-5 days.

I had problems about 2 weeks after purchase with my 256MB SanDisk SD card.

I called Dell and told them about all the problems I have had and ones I have read about here. They are shipping me a new 256MB Lexar SD card (yes they carry them) and I will ship back the SanDisk.

No charge to me. +1 for Dell Service
