Question Serial cable, terminal emulators, and networking equipment.

Hi there. I hope someone can help me down this path. I just bought an Axim serial cable and am looking for a terminal emulator program that will access the serial port. My goal is to use my Axim to manage various networking equipment through the console ports on that equipment. Has anyone had any success using the Axim as a Term-em with anything? What are the rules for making sure that Activesync doesn't capture the serial port?

Thanks in advance,
Jonathan Gordon

Not quite, though that program appears to have its uses. I'm looking for a PPC program similar to PuTTY or Tera Term Pro for desktop systems. A PPC Hyperterm would be fine as well.

Thanks,

You can find several options at http://www.pdastreet.com. Do a software search for "terminal" and you should get 19 hits. I saw several that support VT, including VT220 and VT100. UPDATE: Drill down the software menus until you are in the PocketPC section before you search. It just returned 20 hits, 19 for hardware, 1 for very sick patients.
