Worried Spontaneous Hard Reset

Just had my first real Axim problem.

Left work on Friday with Main Battery about 90%, backup 100%.
Switched on this morning and the Axim had done a Hard Reset.

I've lost everything ! Will be able to restore/resync, but not until next week.

Up until now, everything worked fine.

Has anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas why it might have happened - other than a faulty Axim ??

Thanks,

Frank

Hi dilbert,

I had the same problem yesterday evening. I was charging my axim, and when the charging finished I took the machine from the cradle and wanted to turn it on. It did hard reset. I lost everything.
Batteries were 100%.

This is my second Axim, and now I don't know if I should return it to Dell too and ask for new one.

Well, I was wondering if I was imagining things. I'm having exactly the same problem...turning on my Ax and having to start from scratch again. Happened 3 times this weekend. If it happens again I will try removing both batteries for 5 min. and try it again. Have you tried doing this?

Since I recovered my files, it's been OK.

However, I now do daily backups to my new SD card, as well as activesync backups.

If it happens again, I will ask Dell to replace it.

All the best,

Frank

You pull up a 9 month old thread to make a racist (and inaccurate - they don't speak Farsi or other arab languages in India) remark?
