Mad The White Screen of Death! ACK!

I was just playing around on my Axim and it froze up on me so I did a soft reset and when the screen came back it was white.. and would not respond to anything.. I have not dropped it or anything like that and I was wondering what to do... Could I perhaps do a hard reset and tell the ActiveSync program on my computer to just overwrite any of the Pocket PC stuff so that I would re-install all of my programs? What should I do??? ACK!!

MooMoo,
Same thing has happened to me twice. Each time was successfully corrected by a hard reset. Don't start worrying yet!

Moo, One more thing - Backup First!!!!
I backup through Activesync. ( options> ( on your PC)).
Through my AX it fails every time.[COLOR=firebrick]
Wait, you can't back up this point. Hard reset. reinstall if necessary - then backup, regularly.

overly simple (apologize in advance) but your battery is fully charged? and you weren't running flashlight before? (exit all programs) Tried to re-create on mine and it did produce "white screen of death" with flashlight

To be honest, I hadn't installed much of anything when I was encountering the same problem. I do know it was somewhere between the deletion of battery pack and installation of Resco file explorer or Rhinolaunch, both times. I'm a sucker for free or cheap utilities, and it's not uncommon for me to end up in this situation with any computer I own.
As to whether or not you'll have to reinstall, I believe you will. unless you hopefully backed everything up and can do a restore. It's been my experience with computers that if you encounter a problem that you believe to be serious you're better off starting from scratch and making mental notes during the new install to figure out what may have been causing the conflict originally. Troublesome, yes, but you'll learn something along the way.
Good Luck MooMooFarm!

If you haven't backed up, and you have to do a hard reset, then yes, you will have to reinstall everything. Have you tried just performing another soft reset?

Pull main battery

Try and pull main battery this will reset unit and you will not lose any data. Backup will keep you covered.
