I have an X5 hooked upto a D505 laptop through a Dell docking station. Every so often when I remove the PDA and reseat it into the cradle XP states that it is an unrecognised device. I then unplug the USB cable and put it in another port of the 4 in the docking staion and it works fine. Put if i thin put it back in the old port no luck again. I keep doing this through the day eventually having to reboot the laptop once all of the USB ports have stopped working.ANy help would be greatlly recieved.

I've had this problem on occasion and found it sometimes helpful to reinstall ActiveSync. If you want to keep the same device name, you will need to delete your cuerent partnership first. With your X5 off the cradle, click on File, Delete Partnership in ActiveSync on your laptop. The next time you sync, a partnership using your current device name will be automatically created.
