Worried Aligning Screen Alot

Hey, how often does everyone here have to re -align the touchpad on their screen ? I'm having to do it a couple of times a day now. Is that normal ? Inbox seems to be where the trouble starts, go back to scroll bar after reading an e-mail and taps won't register on the scroll bar. Everything seems to be off many pixels, or to put it another way, I'm an entire card off on the solataire game. Does anyone else have this problem ?

I've had my Axim since February, and have not yet had to re-align the screen. Also, I have had other PDAs for years without re-aligning. You might want to give Dell a call if this keeps up to work out an exchange.

You should only have to do the re align after a hard reset.
Call or email Dell and have the unit replaced

Try a hard reset first.

On the other hand--I purposfully align about once a week because (and maybe this is phycological) I find that you don't have to tap as hard after an alignment. Am I nuts? Am I harming anything?

It shouldn't make a difference on the strength needed for input. Mine stays the same.

I have the same problem with this piece of ____. I called Dell and had them send me a new Axim. Within two days, I am back to aligning six times a day. I will never buy another Dell product. I have nothing loaded on my Axim other than Intelisync for Lotus Notes. I tried removing it and had the same problem.

Are you still having the problem?

Hello,

Dell has sent me a new Axim. I have received it yesterday. I will tell you if I still have the same problem. I hope not :exc:
Previously I have tried to use my Axim without screen protector and it is clear that I had to re-align less frequently. The frequency depends also on the protector type ! Try to use your Axim without the screen protector. Last tip: when you re-align, keep your stylus in the same position until the cursor moves by it own.

Why do you NEED to re-align your screen so much?
Do you have a screen protector? -Try without it for a day or so.
