Hmmmm. Another guy had a simular problem with the CF card. His files would sometimes show up. I have 64MB CF card and playing MP3s fine. I wonder is 256MB ScanDisk has an issue.
Have you tried to copy off all your files to your PC, then reform the CF card.

I have been experiencing the same problem with my 256 MB CF card as well. My MP3s would play fine on my PC, but on my Ax, some of them will not play all the way through or would skip or freeze the software I was using. At first I thought it was just the software, but it seems to do the same thing on any software I use.
Does anyone have any answers about this? I am confused. Thanks! Mike PS What is the BEST application to use for playing MP3s and MPEGs?

According to ScanDisk there is an issue with the AX drivers reading CF cards 256MB in size. ScanDisk is working on it and will post a message on their site when a resolution is found.
I know this does not help. Just thought you all should know what I found out.

Thanks for the reply!
Too bad Dell didn't know about this problem when they took my $$$ for the 256 MB flash card I just purchased. How about the 512 MB disk, does it have the same problems? I am kind of ticked, but there is not much I can do about it. Thanks again! Mike

Don't know anything about the 512. You might check out www.scancdisk.com and see if they say anything. I talked to their tech support on the 256. I am sure they will know about the 512. My guess is, if ScanDisk says they is problem with the drivers on the AX, then the 512 might not work any better.
