Worried Axim turns on automatically

After I sync Axim, the Axim will turn on automatically a few minutes later. Is there a setting / switch to change / stop this action. I have ensured that nothing is connected or touched the on buttons.

Sometimes the Axim turn on after putting the device away and runs down both batteries (main and back up).

Thanks

I have the same problem and it seems to happem often. I have replaced multiple back-up batteries and I no longer use my Axim as it needs to be charged all the time as it won't stay off...

Hello Everyone:

Is your X5 turning on at the same tine everyday? I had the same thing happen on my X5, but it was an alarm notification that was causing my problem. I knew I had no apponintments set to turn my X5 on at the same time everyday, but it did just the same. How I stopped it was:

1) Got to "Settings"
2) Click the "System" tab.
3) Click the "Clock" icon.
4) Click the "Alarm" tab.
5) Uncheck the appropiate alarm box.

I do not know if this is the same problem you are having. It did however drive me nuts trying to figure it out. Hope this helps.

You have weird axims....
The most I could think of is Active Stink becoming inactive and disconnecting so it wants to show you.

After removing the Axim from cradle, I use switch bar to terminate all processes including Active Sinc. It still turns it self on.

As far as when you first cradle it and when you uncradle it, the axim should always turn on. Similiar to if you add or remove a SD card the axim reponds in the same way.
However the problem with while its in the cradle it occassionally turns on.... I have seen this before though I also know it doesn't happen with all of them so I'm guessing there is a fix to this. I haven't been able to find it yet though. Apparently something refreshs that turns it back on.

This was happening to me as well a while back and it ended up being that I set my email account up to check for new messages every xx minutes. If I remember correctly, it's not a setting you can go back and change. I had to delete the email account and recreate it without setting the check for messages option.

Make sure your axim isnt set to try and sync every 5 minutes or that it is not set to wake up when cradled. Set it to manually sync so it only syncs when you tell it to.

I've noticed that with 2002 version you can tell it whether or not you want it to sync every 5 mins. However with 2003 version that option is no longer available under Active Sync.
However with 2003 you can select sync with this PC during manual sync and also use your Mobile Schedule to select manual sync
