Excel, Notes, Recording is slooooowww

I am about to perform a hard-reset, and start loading all my software... again. (I did a hard-reset a week ago)

When I run Excel, Notes, or record, it either locks up, or opens the application after 2-3 minutes. I have 12.61 MB Free for storage, and 20.51 MB free for Programs... seems this should not be a problem.

I am running Icbar, but disabled it, and still experienced the same problem. No other software running in the background either.

Anyone else experience this?

Well with Excel, it takes awhile to load if the file is large. I'm not sure about the rest of it yet.

I was just trying to launch the program--without loading any files.

I think I may have solved it:

I read up on the "What is the ignore_my_documents file?" on this message board, and it said:

Quote:
The “ignore_my_documents” file is a hidden, zero-byte file that is created by the Pocket PC 2002 OS when you save a document from Pocket Word or Pocket Excel to a storage card that has no My Documents folder on it. This can cause problems if you later create a “My Documents” folder on that card. When you try to store a document, your Pocket PC becomes confused about where to store it, and this causes a slowdown or an “infinite hour-glass” problem.
Well, I use a 256 MB CF card, went and created the "My Documents" folder, and deleted that pesky file, and now everything appears to be back in normal running order.

I don't know if this was the problem or not-- the only other thing I did was to delete some garbage recorded files, and Sync my Axim. Hmmm....
