shocked my axim!!! now its not working!!!

here's what happened, i was going to turn my axim on. it was in my cradle, synced to my computer, i touch the power button and then i hear that nice static shocking sound, then the unit would not turn on. i performed a soft reset and it came on, then i had to clear my memory, a screen came up prompting me to do so. luckily i had performed a backup hours before this happened onto my CF card. restored my axim, i thought everything was great until i tried to sync to my computer again, no luck, activesync keeps giving me a message saying "not synchronized" no matter what i do.

any ideas???

thanks

oh yeah, i did notice the battery was warm when i took the axim out of the cradle , but i think that is because i had it charging for about 30 minutes, battery life seems to be ok.. still

raven,

When you said that you cleared your memory, did you mean that you performed a hard-reset? Sounds like it... but try one more time and see what happens....

Also, save your backup file to some other directory and try uninstalling and reinstalling ActiveSync.

Your battery should not get warm even if you've been charging for a while. I leave my Axim on cradle all night and it never gets warm...

Hope this helps...
