Axim x5 disconnects before complete sync

I place it in the cradle, it begins to sync, but then the connection simply drops on the Axim side, followed a few seconds later on the PC side. Resets used to work, but no longer. Upgraded to ActiveSync 3.8. No change. Any suggestions?

I was having that problem and restarted my PC. That seems to have fixed it for now *knock on wood*.

I tried rebooting the PC multiple times, and still nothing, but thanks for the idea.
