Worried cf card problems??????

okay the problem? I have a sandisk 256 CF card and have a bunch of mp3 and some mpegs on it Iam using pocket music and pocket tv sometimes nothing for mp3 or mpeg are listed or showing if I use file explorer but if i go to the memory section of the axim it shows x amount of space being used out of 256!if i do a soft reset then look in file explorer my mp3's are back and the mpegs too. ohh i have used the storage tools application to format thiscf card but the "disappaering"problem shows up...anybody with any ideas or answers?!?!?!! thanks in advance. also this problem is sporadic!

Have you tried to copy off all the MP3s and MPEGs to your PC and reformat the CF?

Here is a utility that you can download and install on your AX.

How much space does this take up on the Ax? Looks like a good utility.

Programs like that don't take up much space. I like using StorageTools by SoftWinter myself. Programs like these may help you.

I have been trying to figure out exactly how much storage is used up. The only thing I can offer is this. Without the utility I have 27.19MB free in storage and with it installed I have 27.04MB free. So 15K to 20K or so is all I can come up with right now. The utility gets installed in the Settings/System tab. It looks like there is a help file (HTML) that is also installed on the AX. I found it in the Windows folder using the Resco Explorer. You can delete this this if you want to save space.

Hope this helps.

You're welcome, tgerstner.
I hope you find one of them to your liking. A little FYI..., I know some people who don't need to defrag.
