Frozen calendar only

While updating items in my calendar, the screen quit responding. Tapping on the screen emits a sound but no action.
Everything else works such as tasks and file explorer.
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance. I really don't want to go through a reset.

No, do you think that will help?
And does that wipe out all my files?
It syncs just fine so everything is backed up; I'll try it.
Thanks, Diedra
