screen freeze

I have a new AXIM and over the last few days it seems to periodically give me an error message that my back up battery is low and the screen will no longer accept input. Hard resetting was curing the problem but that doesn't work any longer. Has anyone else experienced this? I wanted to try here before trying Dell.

The backup battery is a notorious problem on the Ax. (see this thread or search for others, there are a lot: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...&threadid=4793 ) I personally just went to RadioShack and bought a new one. No problems since.

screeen freeze

Thanks but I have tried three new batteries. It doesn't seem to fix the problem. It is not just a low battery but the screen losing it's touch capability.

Sorry but from your description, I assumed the main problem was the battery. It still may be that the screen becomes inactive because it thinks the backup battery is dead. A quote from JakeRich on the thread I linked above:

Have you tried this? You'll probably have to put the Ax on the charger for a period after doing it to get the charge back up before it will restart.
