I get on the net thru my cradle (cable connection on PC), and email comes in fine and I can chat with Imov and AIM, but some sites work while others give me the page not found or other error message.

If that is similar to what is happening, it seems to be more of a PIE thing and some sites that it just won't get to. Your connection itself is fine if you can email and chat.

PIE seems to act more like IE 3 as far as technology goes. One of the things I really hope for is a PPC browser that acts just like IE 6 -- able to open windows and do java scripts, etc. *sigh*

For me, it appears to be a Pocket IE thing, because the resources that say "unavailable" in IE are completely available in Telnet. In other words, IE and it's engine won't see web sites, but "telnet [web site] 80" works fine.

This of course is killing my ability to do a Mobile Information Server sync, since that's via the serial pass through. If I do it via ethernet or wi-fi card, it works. It's like IE won't play nice with pass through.

I'm set up as work-work-work.

A03 upgrade seemed to make this "appear".

Dear all,

Have been struggling with the Internet Connection for weeks, eventually I got my X5 connected to Internet.

I have upgraded my desktop to WinXP, and hard-reset my X5 with A02 and A03 upgrade, and it's now working perfectly.

I would like to thank all of you for your constructive suggestions that helps educating me to make my connection successful.
