Bad battery?

Recently my Axim X5 has died. Twice. One minute it is fine and the next it is dead. No soft or hard reset is possible as it will not turn on. If I remove the main battery and then replace it immediately, a hard reset is performed and I must synch all my data back in. This has happened twice now in about 4 days. Do I need to buy a new main battery and if so, where?

is your battery seating properly? sounds like you are losing the connection to the battery if it comes on sometimes without recharging

Although I am not familiar with the x5, my thought as well is this sounds more like a connection problem than a battery problem.

Some thoughts:

What does the battery indicator show when the PPC is on?
Are you able to run it from its cradle without having it cut out? (Assuming x5 can do this normally).
