CF card troubles

I'm having serieus problems with my card (CF 256 MB Sandisk): i put the same pictures on my card and in the memory: those in the memory can be seen normally in resco pic viewer, those on my card not: the are not fully loaded or not at all (file corrupt it says).
I can't copy the files from my card to the memory: it says that a device attached to the system is not functioning...
same goes for all other files

can this be a problem of my axim or should i ask to replace the card?

I too am having corruption problems with a brand new basic + 256 sandisk CF both from dell. I have tested the CF card in other devices without problems, dell is shipping me another x5 ( new ) I also had IR and mushy D-pad issues.

so snowmoon, if I understand it well, the best what I can do is check my card with a friends axim or a card reader and if it's working they should give me another axim?
I hope they won't make a big problem out of this...
and who do you have to call then? (I'm in Belgium) and what about your deffect axim?

thx for the info

Yes,

If you can confirm the card is OK in a friends ax or other CF device then call dell support and demand a replacement. I did that on tuesday night and my new ax will show up today. Hopefulyy this will have the A02 ROM.

I was seeing random coruption on files in the CF slot. When using the CF card through another device it worked fine.

Weird... doesn't matter since they are sending me another. Overall I've been impressed with the device.

I called dell support and they told me the same thing, that if i can check that my card is ok they will send another axim. I hope this won't take the same time as for this one (2 weeks)...
But it can still be the card that's messed up.
I'm gonna check it saturday with a friend his axim.

thx for the reply
