This only started happening recently. Even when I used my headphones, you can still hear everything through the speakers. How can I eliminate this problem? Please advice. Thanks.

Whoa, that's kinda strange. Do you hear sound through your headphones when you have them plugged in or do you just hear sound out of the speaker? Maybe your headphone jack is shot???

Tried all that. Didn't really work. It's strange. I could hear fine through both head phones and speakers. Maybe it's just my axim. Time for a new one?

This may be something you have already tried but what about different headphones?
