Nyditot changed my settings!

You know when you have no idea why you decided to do something but you do it anyway. When that happens most of the times things mess up... Case in point, while downloading Family Guy and American Dad episodes to my CF card, I decided to try out the latest version of Nyditot.

I just wanted to check it out. I saw it for a few minutes and decided to uninstall it. It did completely install itself so I booted up in Safe Mode and deleted it. Unfortunetly Nyditot left some changes I didn't want...

1. I changed the windows to do a high contrast white...its still there after the unstall

2. It seems as if the hardware buttons are different. The jog dial does not function like normal. It won't bring a page up or down. Programs such as Beta Player and GSPlayer will not work with my custom hardware button mapping.

3. Finally, in the Programs Menu, I cannot tap my stylus on a program. It will not open up. It will open only (after highlighting with the stylus), I click the action button (directional button). Now the settings menu works like normal. I can go to a settings program and open it with the stylus.

I could download the trial again but I am not at home and have no active sync (couldn't use it anyway). There has got to be a way I can change back the settings. I want to advoid a hard reset if possible. Please do help. Thanks!!! :approve:

This .exe file can be downloaded to your device and run from that folder to restore your factory settings. You don't need activesync to install it. IT's from the NYDITOT Support site;

Restoring Factory Settings: Should you encounter a device compatibility issue or any problems installing or uninstalling NVD, please try running NVDRestore.EXE. This small program will restore the video and touch screen components and the color and font settings to their factory values. You will find this program in the \Windows folder on the device. If you can't find it, you can download it. Click on your processor type ( ARM, MIPS, SH3 ) to download the correct version. After the download has finished, copy the EXE directly to your device and run it.

It works! Thanks soo much. I had to rename it to a .dat file because I couldn't send it as an attachment (even when zipping it). Security reasons.... Then I got my PDA, used my gomadic cable/cell went online, downloaded the attachment, renamed it with .exe...and worked flawlessly!

EDIT

It doesn't work totally :(

My hardware buttons are not working still... :rolling:
