When you restore from backup, does it load programs that you added as well as data? I purchased a couple of programs and would like to know after a restore, if I will have to reload these programs?

If it is Sprite you are using and you did a full backup then my experience is yes - I had a crash and had to hard reset and restore and everything went back just as it was.

the default restore program on your pda will work fine also just make sure you do a backup first of course and store the backup on a flash card and your pc or laptop harddrive to keep it safe

 

anything that is in main memory will be backed up...anything in ROM will not be backed up, but it also will not be erased by a hard reset.
